Safari Adventures Worldwide Mwiba Lodge

Mwiba Lodge/ Southern Serengeti

Rising from the boulders amidst coral trees is an architectural myriad of natural elements and contemporary concepts. Mwiba Lodge is a study of contrasts. The landscape is mercurial giving rise to the feeling that the lodge was born of this land, rather than created. Sit at the edge of the world on the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and gaze across the great plains of Africa until twilight casts shadows and Mwiba Lodge beckons you home.

Awaken to breakfasts amidst the trees, walk alongside the Hadzabe and see the land through their eyes, and jump with the Datoga as they embrace the setting sun. This is a land of transformative energy.

The Serengeti together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park form Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomizes Africa for many, and then add a Masai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The annual wildebeest migration through the Serengeti and the Masai Mara is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with one to two million animals following the rains. But that is not where the game viewing ends; large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in grasslands, gazelles and eland to mention but a few.

ACTIVITIES

  • Walking Safaris
  • Unlimited Game Drives
  • Night Game Drives
  • Walking With Hadzabe
  • Visiting a Datoga Village
  • Sundowners
  • Spa Treatments
  • Scenic Helicopter Flights
  • Fly Camping

ROOM CONFIGURATION

Each of the 10 suites found at Mwiba Lodge are complete with private decks overlooking the rocky river below, large soaking tubs, outdoor rain showers, and grand beds made for dreaming. A sumptuous suite comprising a vast double bed, a sofa and seating area, an outdoor deck, and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and both indoor and outdoor showers. Each of the bedrooms can be configured as either a king or twin and the bed area is encompassed generously by a linen mosquito net.

Adjoining Suites: There are 2 pairs that are adjoining and suitable to accommodate guests who are traveling together.  The raised decks of these particular tented suites that are adjoining have been connected by wooden walkways to allow easy access between the suites thus making them ideal for families traveling with younger children.

Safari Adventures Worldwide Legendary Expeditions Migrational Camps

Legendary Serengeti Camp

Explore a rich landscape of inky blue skies, burnt orange sunsets and the soft neutrals of the African savannah. Bordering the game-rich Lamai Triangle, two seasonal luxury camps are hidden under the deep shade of acacia canopies. The camps move through 4 sights in 3 key locations (North, West and South) throughout the year following in the footsteps of the Great Migration for a front-row seat to the procession of more than two million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle as they wander across the vast grass plains.

With a private vehicle and guide for each couple, group, or solo traveler, the sense of having the Serengeti to oneself is a luxury the camp takes pride in affording its guests. No one who has had the chance to see nearly two million animals on the move can fail to be awed by its magic – and conjuring this astounding encounter with one of Nature’s most dazzling spectacles is the very premise on which Legendary Serengeti Camp is based.
